i’m stepping out

The other blog I write for, Sunny Slide Up, has been a wonderful experience for me.  It gives me the chance to work with 3 other creative ladies and pushes me to write about something unique (un-related to Dry Ink) once a week.

Please check it out if you haven’t already and follow our page!

You can also find us on facebook, twitter, and pinterest.

One of the girls, Heather, designed the logo:

Sunny Slide Up

And I worked on the supplemental pieces to use for various design elements:

We have been fortunate enough to begin to get a LOT of visitors.  It has been crazy!  We went from a few hundred a month to 30,000+ already this month.  So… we are taking this time to add to our site.  One thing we wanted to do was show us a little more – give the site a little more of a personal touch and we are doing this by using more photos.

Here is my icon for the site – I used  fun photo that my mom, Flossy, took one day in my hometown!  Yep – that is me striking a pose!

Here is the full photo.  I love how I blend in to the painting!

Just like Dry Ink Designs, Sunny Slide Up has taught me so much about design, blogging, work, and being creative.  I am so glad I get to share glimpses of my life with you!

About dryinkdesigns

A marketing and business development background is the foundation for Mandi Boedicker’s passion for creating memorable branding support for a number of clients. Initially a graphic designer by trade, Boedicker’s marketing experience in the construction industry sparked a passion for networking and community partnerships. Dry Ink Designs was a natural next step. Boedicker’s freelance client work had spanned over ten years already while maintaining a full-time career, so she turned her creative energy into a career that benefitted the relationships she was building. Strengths in calligraphy, painting and photography soon grew into strengths in corporate identity strategy and marketing/communications support.
