You gotta see this

Every week I look at multiple blogs and often times forward them to my friends.  After sharing some of my favorites earlier, I thought – why not do this from time to time.  There is so much worth sharing, so I hope you enjoy these posts as much as I did!

1. Creative Resumes for Graphic Designers.  Creative Market had an article on graphic designers that have taken their plain white resume and transformed it into a piece of art. What a way to stand out, and make a difference in the pile of resumes that cross employers desks these days!

2. I read a great article on how Pinterest may help drive your company business on the Entrepreneur’s website.   You can read here for a blog entry I wrote a while back on Pinterest.

3. 12 free fonts featured on The Handmade Home.  Click here for the free fonts I posted recently.

3.  Did you know that the New York Public Library has a Digital Library that it shares for free.  You can search by topic or category and find digital images that you can get at a larger size and print them out!  I of course searched for graphic design and found these beautiful hand sketches from the 30s.

4. A great font was featured on designworklifesaissant.  It is not one that you could use on every application, but it would be awesome on an envelope as an alternative to calligraphy.

Have a great weekend!

About dryinkdesigns

A marketing and business development background is the foundation for Mandi Boedicker’s passion for creating memorable branding support for a number of clients. Initially a graphic designer by trade, Boedicker’s marketing experience in the construction industry sparked a passion for networking and community partnerships. Dry Ink Designs was a natural next step. Boedicker’s freelance client work had spanned over ten years already while maintaining a full-time career, so she turned her creative energy into a career that benefitted the relationships she was building. Strengths in calligraphy, painting and photography soon grew into strengths in corporate identity strategy and marketing/communications support.
